Why I'm So Happy

Eat Your Vegetables, Damn It!
So many people around the world don't have running water, electricity, clean food, enough food, a place to sleep, a place to live etc etc etc, but you know this, you heard it growing up.  You were told this as an attempt to make you grateful for what you have and to finish your dinner.  This post is Not an attempt to get you to eat your vegetables.  Its an attempt to wake you up, to what you are doing and who you are.

America....F Ya.
See I woke up today and WALKED into my kitchen and grabbed something to eat and drink  Amongst men, I am to be envied most.  Not only do I have food and drink readily available, I also have legs to go and get these things.  I live on the third floor in a condo building and regularly take the elevator.  Not because I have to, because I'm lazy.  If I had no legs, I couldn't afford to be lazy.  So I guess I'm a lazy grateful man, Yes that is who I am.

You Ungrateful Bastard!!!
Forget the fact that you take your light switch for granted, you complain because there is a line at the food store, where you can load up on sugary cakes that are going to kill your fat behind.  Lets not even go into detail about how much you envy others automobiles when you have perfectly good legs to use.  The crippled man has to wait for Google to release their Self Driving Car and he'll wind up paying top dollar for it.  Chances are, you'll want one too.  I can hear you now, "I can read a book while I drive or sleep on my way to work", ever heard of audio.com you imbecile?  The individuals buying this car have neither seen the beauty of a hundred dollar bill or experienced the rich jagged texture of rocks in their shoes.

Lets Get Honest!
We are a society driven by what marketing firms tell us we need and deserve.  Whether its a fashion sense, a car, brand of sunglasses, a sub-English dialect or what we need to eat.  Lets face it, were being sold. Everywhere we go were being taught that we don't have enough, more will make you happy, food will make you happy.    This_____ will make you content for now, but what happens in 12 hours, a month, 2 years etc.  Look around at the miracles you have at your disposal and start cherishing and being overly thankful.
Overly: Someone hands you a starbucks and you cry and explain what a miracle this is, if only Abraham Lincoln could witness this modern technology.

How Much For Those Beans?
Ya get cheesy, be different, feel strange, take stares and live more than all the robots you meet.  I keep hearing about this Zombiepocalypse and all I see are zombies.  People dissatisfied chasing tomorrow and losing today.  I'm not trying to be poetic, just doing my best to wake you the F up.  Love what you have and have what you hate (rocks in your shoes) because these luxuries will cost you something.  Just be sure that "something" you're paying with, is something you can afford to pay.

Comfort's For Suckers!
If you're single slow down and explore your world.  Ask the uncomfortable question and determine who you want to take on this wonderful journey.  If you're married, love your wife until she feels awkward and weird in public when around you.  Play with your kids, to the point where others are annoyed but secretly envy you.  If your parents are still around, play 1,050 questions with them every time you can.
Be the one who lives awakened vs the one who is scared to be awake.

Be You and Love You!
Do this and find yourself surrounded by others who genuinely will too.
